To be eligible for the 94th Academy Awards, films must meet all qualifications in their respective categories, including requirements pertaining to theatrical releases and exhibition formats. Special rules and submission requirements apply to awards in the Documentary, International Feature Film, Animated Feature, Music and Short Film categories. Submissions for specialty categories and the General Entry/Oscars Submission Form (OSF) are due by 5 p.m. PT on the following dates:
