In Zusammenarbeit mit 20th Century Fox of Germany GmbH darf INDAC in Hamburg, Stuttgart, Köln, Frankfurt, Berlin, Düsseldorf und München jeweils bis zu 2 Animations-/VFXschaffende zu den Presse-Screenings des Films „SHAPE OF WATER – DAS FLÜSTERN DES WASSERS (Kinostart: 15. Februar)“ einladen. Gezeigt wird die Originalversion mit deutschen Untertiteln, die Filmlänge beträgt 123 Minuten!! Wie immer verpflichten sich die Teilnehmer obligatorisch dazu, eine Kritik für den INDAC Blog zeitnah zum Filmstart zu verfassen. Nur auf INDAC.org registrierte Mitglieder der deutschen Animations- und VFX Community können sich für die Teilnahme an den Screenings bewerben:
From master story teller, Guillermo del Toro, comes THE SHAPE OF WATER – an other-worldly fairy tale, set against the backdrop of Cold War era America circa 1963. In the hidden high-security government laboratory where she works, lonely Elisa (Sally Hawkins) is trapped in a life of silence and isolation. Elisa’s life is changed forever when she and co-worker Zelda (Octavia Spencer) discover a secret classified experiment. Rounding out the cast are Michael Shannon, Richard Jenkins, Michael Stuhlbarg and Doug Jones.
Opening on Tuesday 13th June with the first-ever Mifa Campus boasting Guillermo del Toro as its patron, this year the Mifa will host all the professional conferences on site as well as the traditional Meetings: Territory Focus, Share With, Mifa Pitches, Mifa Press Conferences, the Video Library… and even recruitment sessions with major animation studios.
More vibrant than ever, the Mifa is taking place at the Impérial Palace from 13th – 16th June 2017 with 1,000 m2 additional surface area!
The first-ever Mifa Campus on Tuesday 13th June!
Guillermo del Toro will be the patron of the 1st Mifa Campus: A new day entirely dedicated to students and entry-level animation professionals. He will be presenting a „Conversation“ at 2 pm at the Impérial Palace, Verdi A&B, a unique moment for this generation seeking references and sharing experiences.
Carlos Saldanha, director of Ice Age and Rio among others, has also agreed to share an intimate moment with students, young professionals and experts at 9 am in the Tente impériale.
Three kinds of meetings will be held:

Annecy is proud to announce a Masterclass event featuring award-winning master storyteller Guillermo del Toro as he reflects on his prolific career leading up to the world’s first glimpse at his latest creation, DreamWorks Trollhunters, debuting later this year.
A Storied Career:
Guillermo del Toro’s work as a director, screenwriter, filmmaker, producer and author is incredibly extensive and varied, ranging from novels to comic books and television to imaginative feature films. Throughout his career, he has consistently had a strong connection and lifelong fascination with fantastical creatures and in DreamWorks Trollhunters he has created vast and vibrant worlds with complex human and troll characters that create a cinematic television experience.
A First Look
Slated to premiere as a Netflix original series in 2016, DreamWorks Trollhunters will unleash a new, fantastical world wrapped around the residents of the fictional suburb of Arcadia who make a startling discovery that the world beneath their hometown is as vast and mind-blowing as anything on the surface. A global must-see viewing event for the entire family, DreamWorks Trollhunters will bring viewers of all ages around the world into the rich and creative mind of Guillermo del Toro.
