The Pulp frontman and DJ joined LFF festival director Tricia Tuttle on stage to introduce Wes Anderson’s new film, The French Dispatch, in which Jarvis voices a French pop star called Tip Top. The French Dispatch plays at the 2021 BFI London Film Festival, in association with American Express, which runs 6-17 October.

Ausgezeichnet: Kölner Privatakademie für 3D Visual Effects ein weiteres Mal als eine der besten Schulen der Welt bestätigt
Die unabhängige und renommierte Branchenplattform „The Rookies“ hat kürzlich wieder die jährlichen „World School Rankings®“ der weltweit besten Digital Arts- Schulen herausgegeben. Die Kölner Privatakademie PIXL VISN konnte darin mit den Plätzen sechs (in der Kategorie „Visual Effects“) und neun (in der Kategorie „3D Animation“) ihre Position unter den besten Schulen der Welt aus den Vorjahren nun erneut bestätigen. Damit ist man jeweils einziger deutscher Vertreter in den TOP10.
Die Besonderheit des bereits seit 2010 von „The Rookies“ veröffentlichten Schulrankings liegt in der äußerst aufwendigen Methodik: Die Schulbewertungen ergeben sich aus den Einzelbenotungen aller Studentenarbeiten im ebenfalls jährlich stattfindenden Wettbewerb „Rookie Awards“. Daran nehmen Studenten und Absolventen aus der ganzen Welt teil, die von einer kompetenten Fachjury aus Branchen-Professionals bewertet werden. In diesem Jahr waren es insgesamt 4.101 Teilnehmer aus 98 Ländern von 567 Schulen. Die Jury hat insgesamt 57.290 Medien-Uploads gesichtet und bewertet.
Die erneute Auszeichnung beweist, dass die PIXL VISN-Intensivausbildung zum 3D Visual Effects Artist seit Jahren konstant zu den weltweit besten
Ausbildungsmöglichkeiten in diesem Bereich gehört. Und so ist es auch nur eine logische Konsequenz, dass PIXL VISN-Absolventen bereits an weltbekannten Produktionen wie „Avengers: Endgame“, „The Mandalorian“ oder „Game of Thrones“ beteiligt waren und in renommierten Gaming-Studios wie „Electronic Arts“ oder „Crytek“ arbeiten.
