Disney cancels plans for new Florida campus amid DeSantis feud
Disney announced it will not more forward with the construction of a new Florida campus, citing “changing business conditions” and the return of CEO Bob Iger. The company also will no longer be asking more than 2,000 California-based employees to relocate to Florida.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania | VFX Breakdown | Digital Domain
For Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Digital Domain Visual Effects Supervisor Dave Hodgins and his team of artists were tasked with transforming the Marvel Comics villain, M.O.D.O.K., onto the big screen. To do this, the award-winning studio utilized it’s proprietary tool Masquerade 2.0 combined with a few other industry tools, including Maya, Mari and V-Ray. For the film, Digital Domain also developed a new blood flow pipeline that leverages machine learning and creates a library of data from scanned data of actor Corey Stoll.
Once the team began working on the final version of M.O.D.O.K., the library of data was triggered by Digital Domain’s proprietary Weighted Pose Space Deformation (WPSD) system. The team capped it all off by adding a heartbeat monitor (that changes in the film as needed), a metal battle mask inspired by the character’s comic book roots and a handful of futuristic weapons created to fit the specifications of the film.

This summer, Netflix will release the highly anticipated NIMONA, based on the bestselling graphic novel by ND Stevenson. Nimona follows Ballister Boldheart, a knight framed for a crime he didn’t commit, and the titular shapeshifter who sets out to help him prove his innocence.
Today, Netflix confirms joining the film’s previously announced cast members Chloë Grace Moretz (Nimona), Riz Ahmed (Ballister Boldheart) and Eugene Lee Yang (Ambrosius Goldenloin) are supporting cast Frances Conroy, Lorraine Toussaint, Beck Bennett, RuPaul Charles, Indya Moore, Julio Torres and Sarah Sherman. Nimona is directed by Nick Bruno and Troy Quane.
