AWE Nite LA: Open Source, Open Standard, Open Discussion

Last year’s AWE hosted a conversation among key standards development organizations and industry consortia about the need for more cross-organization collaboration to build the Metaverse, both real-world and virtual. Now, they’re acting on that discussion: all the organizations represented on the panel are now members of the newly formed Metaverse Standards Forum, a venue for cooperation among metaverse and spatial web stakeholders to foster the development of interoperability standards.

At this AWE Nite LA, join returning panelists and other prominent industry voices for a frank discussion on the progress that’s been made and the challenges ahead. Panelists will discuss work underway at both the Forum and their own organizations, spanning topics ranging from interoperability to accessibility, security to ethics.

AWE USA is only four months away and we are thrilled to announce the first headliners for the 14th annual event in Santa Clara, May 31-June 2:

  • Peggy Johnson, CEO, Magic Leap
  • John Riccitello, CEO, Unity Technologies
  • Hugo Swart, VP & GM, XR, Qualcomm

These top names join more than 400 industry leaders who will present and speak on 14 conference tracks; with topics including everything from enterprise enablement and XR start-ups, to Web3 and metaverse safety. Meet the first 100 speakers.

Plus, with 100 exhibitors confirmed (out of an expected 300+), the 120,000 sq ft expo floor is filling up quickly with exciting companies and brands who will be showing off the latest in immersive technology.
