Interstella 5555 is an anime film working as the video to an entire album – 2001’s seminal ‚Discovery‘. Pitched by Daft Punk themselves to legendary anime creator Leiji Matsumoto, the multi-layered story tells of a hot intergalactic pop group robbed of their identity. But it truly sings in its celebration of music, and the tunes that defined a generation. This video was originally produced as part of the Anituber Anthology 5, an homage to Space-themed anime.
