6,013 real-time community members signed up for our April 26 – 28 event, for 48 non-stop hours of real-time live sessions. Our program was designed to follow the sun and time zones around the world, and we were delighted to have an average of 740 attendees participating at any time, with a very impressive start of 870 unique viewers on day one, hour one, rising to 1,000 participants a few hours later!
More detailed statistics from RTC April 2021 coming soon, (check our website for updates) but we wanted to share these excellent figures for an event which just celebrated its first anniversary! A total of 11,053 attendees have registered since our first conference in April 2020, representing 112 countries, for a remarkable global reach.

Mission accomplished: RTC fulfilled a major goal to bring together communities too often siloed. Digital Fashion merged with Game Developers and Digital Humans Pioneers, Live Broadcast Show professionals engaged with XR, Health Specialists joined Data Professionals, Events Producers mingled with Movie Makers, Architects exchanged with Real-Time Media, Artists schmoozed with Blockchain and NFTs specialists, Sports Broadcasters dove into Volumetric Capture, unlocking new forms of monetization…

TC’s speakers came together, live, from around the globe. Some experts even came as metahumans! The event was hosted from NantStudios‘ extraordinary LED stage, an innovative approach which pushed the boundaries of what virtual events can be! Following up on our April event theme “The Rise of the Metaverse”, RTC November 2021 will focus on “Populating the Metaverse”. We will dive into the history of Avatars, explore how we can propel ourselves in the Metaverse (far beyond “playmobil”-looking digital doubles), and discover how the “formidable” potential of tools such as MetaHuman Creator, combined with XR & Videogame technologies, unlock a mind-blowing future, where ubiquity becomes real…
We have already started working on the program for our Fall Conference but we invite you to join the conversation: as a speaker, a host or even a curator of one of our upcoming series of talks.
