Michael B. Jordan and Juno Temple Switch Bodies in Animated Buddy Comedy Swapped
Michael B. Jordan and Juno Temple will lead SWAPPED (formerly titled POOKOO), an animated buddy comedy from director Nathan Greno (TANGLED) about two natural sworn enemies— a small woodland creature and a majestic bird—who suddenly swap bodies. Coming in 2026
Michael B. Jordan and Juno Temple are about to ruffle some feathers.
The duo will star in the upcoming animated film Swapped, which lands on Netflix in 2026. Netflix and Skydance Animation have revealed a new still (above) from the film, which was formerly known as Pookoo.
Set in an animal kingdom called the Valley, a tiny woodland creature (voiced by Jordan) and a regal bird (voiced by Temple) find themselves in a body-swap mishap. The two sworn enemies are forced to walk in each other’s feathers and fur as they embark on a wild adventure together.
Directed by Nathan Greno (Tangled), the story is scripted by John Whittington (The Lego Batman Movie) and writing partners Christian Magalhaes and Robert Snow (DuckTales, WondLa). John Lasseter, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Mary Ellen Bauder Andrews will serve as producers.
“Swapped is an unpredictable, emotional ride — full of humor, spectacle, and heart,” Greno said. “We drew from live-action nature documentaries, exploring the complexity of a wild ecosystem to capture something that feels vibrant and deeply human.”
Jordan and Temple, the director added, deliver “warmth and authenticity” to the film. “Every moment between them feels alive — funny one second, deeply moving the next. Their chemistry lifts the story and gives Swapped its wings.”
