At the dawn of the Age of Enlightenment, Doctor Rabarbaro and his assistant Tosse travel from house to house to cure absurd illnesses with their innovative remedies. Loosely inspired by 18th-century prints on the fear of doctors and diseases, the film explores the mysteries and efforts to understand the human body with a nonsensical spirit and dark humor.
