Wir freuen uns, Sie am 7. Dezember in Zusammenarbeit mit Twentieth Century Fox of Germany GmbH in Berlin zu einer exklusiven Lecture zum neuen Blue Sky Studios Film „FERDINAND – Geht STIERisch ab!“ einladen zu dürfen. Regisseur Carlos Saldanha (Ice Age, Rio, Robots) wird uns einen Einblick geben in seine Arbeit und wie die Umsetzung des berühmten Kinderbuchklassikers in einen abendfüllenden Spielfilm gelang!
Im Anschluß findet ein Q&A mit dem Filmemacher statt. Zudem werden alle Teilnehmer die Gelegenheit bekommen, sich den Film in einem Screening vorab anzuschauen.
Die Lecture als auch das Screening werden in englischer Sprache stattfinden.
Wir würden uns sehr freuen, Sie an diesem Tag in Berlin begrüßen zu dürfen.

Invitation to an exclusive Lecture with Carlos Saldanha about the upcoming Blue Sky Studios movie „FERDINAND“ in BERLIN on December 7th.
We are excited to invite you in the name of The 20th Century Fox of Germany GmbH to an exclusive lecture with Carlos Saldanha (Ice Age, Rio) about his new production „FERDINAND“. Mr. Saldanha will give us an insight about the production and development of the new movie and the transformation of a beloved children´s book classic into an animated feature film.
There will be a Q&A after the lecture.
Also there will be the possibility for all participants to see the new movie before the lecture!
The lecture will take place on December 7th in Berlin around 10.45 AM to 01.00 PM CET.

Über den Film:
FERDINAND erzählt die Geschichte eines riesigen Stiers mit einem großen Herzen. Nachdem man Ferdinand irrtümlich für ein wildes Tier hält, wird er gefangen genommen und von zuhause weggeschafft. Fest entschlossen zu seiner Familie zurückzukehren, trommelt er ein Team von Außenseitern für das ultimative Abenteuer zusammen. Ferdinand beweist bei der in Spanien angesiedelten Geschichte, dass man einen Stier nicht nach seinen Hörnern beurteilen kann.
Von Blue Sky Studios und Carlos Saldanha, der Regisseur von RIO, und inspiriert vom beliebten Buch „Ferdinand der Stier“ von Munro Leaf und Robert Lawson, ist FERDINAND eine herzerwärmende, animierte Abenteuerkomödie mit einem Cast voller Stars wie John Cena, Kate McKinnon, Gina Rodriguez, Anthony Anderson und viele weitere.
Ferdinand – Geht STIERisch ab! – ab Donnerstag, den 14. Dezember 2017 nur im Kino.
CARLOS SALDANHA:
Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Saldanha enjoyed a fairly typical childhood that was eventually defined by his passion for animation. Carlos would spend hours perfecting his cartoonish drawing technique, and he quickly realized that he had to move to the States to pursue animation as a career. In 1991, Carlos arrived in New York City to attend the prestigious School of Visual Arts, where he completed two well-received shorts and earned a degree in animation. It was also at School that Saldanha met MFA instructor and future film directing partner Chris Wedge, who invited Saldanha to join Wedge’s company Blue Sky Studios. Carlos was immediately put to work as an animator on Blue Sky’s various projects, with the company, in its early days, best known for cranking out commercials and short films. In 1997, Blue Sky began focusing exclusively on special effects and Carlos worked behind-the-scenes on such movies as 1997’s The Fairy Godmother and 1999’s Fight Club.
He was the director of Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006), Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009), Rio (2011), Rio 2 (2014), and the co-director of Ice Age (2002) and Robots (2005). In 2003, Saldanha was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film for Gone Nutty.
