Those of you wishing to have your film screened in CINANIMA, have now the chance of submitting it for selection. We still believe that the 44th edition of our Festival will be an intense, both for audience and professional, bearing in mind the dialogue and further cooperation in the field of animated filmmaking. Besides our regular competition programmes, masterclasses, workshops and retrospectives. Also, we have been putting together, for some time, special thematic nights for general audiences, as well as creative and challenging selections for children and youngsters, during the day.
Here are the main competition categories for submitting the films produced after 1 st January 2019:

- SCHOOL FILMS AND/ OR GRADUATION FILMS
- FEATURE FILMS
- ANTÓNIO GAIO Award – Best Film in the National Competition;
- BEST YOUNG PORTUGUESE DIRECTOR Award
The 44th edition will take place in November, as usual, and the deadline for submission is the 10th July 2019.
The winners will receive trophies, while the Grand Prize of the Festival can be on the shortlist for the Animated Short Film Category of the Academy Awards®.
