The 2018 Emile Awards Ceremony will take place in Lille, France the on the 7th & 8th of December and will reward the excellence and the diversity of the European animation film industry through its 19 categories:

* SHORT FILMS:
– Best Direction
– Best Background & Character Design
* FEATURE FILMS:
– Best Direction
– Best Writing
– Best Storyboard
– Best Character Animation
– Best Background & Character Design
– Best Soundtrack
– Best Sound Design
* STUDENT FILMS:
– Best Achievement in a Student Film
* COMISSIONED FILMS:
– Best Achievement in a Commissioned Film
* TV/BROADCAST FILMS:
– Best Direction
– Best Writing
– Best Storyboard
– Best Character Animation
– Best Background & Character Design
– Best Soundtrack
– Best Sound Design
• NB: The Lotte Reiniger Lifetime Achievement rewards an individual in recognition of its outstanding contribution to excellence in animation. This is the only category that is not available for online submissions. The attribution of this Award is annually voted by the board of the European Animation Awards Association.
