These are really difficult times globally for a lot of folks in VFX/Animation/Games.
It’s not just headlines; it’s our colleagues, our friends, our industry who are losing their jobs, sometimes after decades of dedication to their studios..
We can’t just stand by and watch it happen. We need to act.
That’s why I’m pulling together a roundtable in early April.
Think of it as a huddle – a space for organisations like SIGGRAPH, IGDA, VES, and anyone else with a stake/opinion/idea to share how we address the critical moment.
- Real, actionable support: Not just talk, but pushing for industry-wide initiatives that actually help people.
- Connecting the dots: Creating spaces for networking and retraining – getting those affected back on their feet.
- Building a stronger foundation: Learning from this crisis to make our industry more resilient, so we don’t end up here again.
