die Vorbereitungen für das Festival laufen auf Hochtouren und das Programm nimmt Gestalt an: Nach den Vorauswahlen stehen unsere Wettbewerbsprogramme endlich fest. Seid gespannt auf bewegende, experimentelle und besondere Kurzfilme.
The Competition Line-up is set!
2,305 films submitted, over 233 hours of footage. Our pre-selection juries have worked hard to curate the finest animated short films for this year’s festival. Now, the competition programmes are finalised. Each programme block will be followed by a Filmmakers‘ Talk on the next day at the Festival Centre (Haus der Katholischen Kirche), where filmmakers will share insights into their works and creative processes.
Die Filme im Wettbewerb stehen fest
2.305 eingereichte Filme, über 233 Stunden Filmmaterial. Unsere Vorauswahl-Jurys haben sich ordentlich ins Zeug gelegt, um für das diesjährige Festival die besten Kurzfilme zu finden, die die Animation derzeit zu bieten hat. Nun stehen alle Wettbewerbsprogramme fest. Zu jedem Programmblock gibt es am Folgetag den Filmmaker’s Talk im Festival Centre (Haus der Katholischen Kirche). Dort erzählen die Menschen mehr über ihre Werke und ihre Arbeitsweisen.
Short films by the young and wild from international film and art schools. Always at the cutting edge. Award-worthy: The ITFS is an Oscar-qualifying festival. Who wins the Grand Prix automatically gets longlisted for the Academy Awards in Los Angeles.

Tricks for Kids shows magical short films to discover, laugh and marvel at for all animation fans from daycare centres and primary schools to teenagers. Foreign-language films have a German live voice-over.
