Cartoon Movie 2021 will be digital
We would have loved to be able to announce with drum rolls that we were finally going to be able to meet each other „in real life“: pitching, discussing, laughing, drinking and eating all together. Unfortunately, the possibility to gather again in real-life will take a few more months. Cartoon Movie arrives a bit too soon: the time of reunion is not there yet.
Our adventurous path will continue with a Cartoon Movie in digital version.
Who can register?
- Producers whose project has been accepted by the Selection Committee
- European producers without accepted project (considered as “observers”)
- Investors, sales agents, distributors, broadcasters, new media representatives, gaming companies, animation studios, authors, directors, composers, animation professionals, …
Costs
- All participants: 150 EUR (excl. VAT, incl. registration fees of the Cartoon Movie and administration costs of the association) instead of 950 EUR excl. VAT
EU companies can recover the VAT charges (if they are liable for VAT)
The registration fees include:
- A full accreditation to Cartoon Movie (9-11 March)
- Access to Cartoon’s digital platform
- Participation in Cartoon Games (optional – only for producers and game companies)
- Access to Cartoon’s mobile application displaying all information regarding the projects
- E-catalogue to download where you can find all the contact information from everyone who is registered
- The agenda which is usually printed will be downloadable as interactive PDF
- Since the pitches will no longer take place on site, we ask the producers to record their pitch themselves or to create a presentation video.
The recorded pitches will be put online as the programme of the event progresses. Participants can then watch them at their convenience until 31 March. - Exchanges with the Cartoon Movie 2021 Community by sending private chat messages between participants.
For producers presenting a project:
- For the digital edition, fees are reduced to 400 EUR excl. VAT (instead of 950 EUR excl. VAT)
- Recorded presentation of your project to be shown in Cartoon’s digital platform
- The benefit of a consultant’s expertise
- Presentation of your project in the mobile application (including your trailer)
- An “Extra Time Corner” is organized right after each pitch so that participants can meet producers. A virtual meeting room dedicated to each project will be accessible via a link under the video of the pitch. The “Extra Time Corner” opens at the end of the pitch and remains open for 30 minutes.
- A feedback form is available after each viewing. The link to the form is placed under the video of the pitch or at the end of the video itself. Participants’ feedback is very important for producers, we encourage them to send remarks and advice.
Payment
The payment of the fee for the online participation validates the registration immediately.

Regulations
- After registering for the online version of Cartoon Movie 2021, no cancellation is possible.
- In case of project withdrawal:
Producers whose project has been selected at Cartoon Movie can’t withdraw their project after 11 January 2021, or they will have to pay the sum of 1000 EUR. This rule is set in order to be fair to the other producers who didn’t have the opportunity to be selected.

When registering for Cartoon Movie, the participants acknowledge and undertake to respect all regulations stipulated above.
